Valintine, Yes, I have a real (non-virtual) robots.txt at the root directory of my website. I control that manually. I don't let XML-Sitemap interfere with my robots.txt.

Hey, Great post,
At this moment I use a pay plugin, but I believe that this work better.
I have a doubt. Like You know it is very used a plugin called Google XML-Sitemap. This plugin has the hability to create an robot.txt automatically, but I can't see an option to exclude directories on blog for search enginers robot. My questions are
Have you also this plugins installed?
Have yoy this option disabled and control robots.txt manually?

Thanks
